The essential point is that we ought to keep up this remembrance:
subḥān Allāh wa bi-ḥamdih ʿadada khalqih (Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, commensurate with the number of His creatures) — three times;
subḥān Allāh wa bi-ḥamdih riḍā nafsih (Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, to the extent that pleases Him) — three times;
subḥān Allāh wa bi-ḥamdih zinata ʿarshih (Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, equal to the weight of His Throne) — three times;
subḥān Allāh wa bi-ḥamdih midāda kalimātih (Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, as plentiful as the ink needed to write His words) — three times;
making a total of twelve recitations.
