Every person is duty-bound to love the Messenger more than he loves himself, his children, his parents, and all humankind. Should someone object, “Does not Allah mention the parents’ right directly after His own?” we answer, “Indeed He does—‘Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and show kindness to parents’ (Q 17:23)—yet the Messenger’s right is inseparable from the right of Allah, for the worship of Allah is only complete when it is offered with exclusive sincerity to Him and in full conformity to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ. Allah alone grants success.”
Allah the Exalted says, “Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, invoke blessings upon him and greet him with peace in abundance” (Q 33:56).
1397 – ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ, may Allah be pleased with them both, reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, say, “Whoever sends one blessing upon me, Allah will bless him ten times over.” Narrated by Muslim.
