and what he reports solely to warn us against. The Messenger—may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him—informed us that the scholars will pass away. This means we must strive earnestly before the time comes when the scholars have departed and nothing is left but those ignorant figureheads who give legal rulings without knowledge, thus leading themselves astray and leading others astray as well. O Allah, we ask You for beneficial knowledge, righteous deeds, and wholesome, abundant provision.
