1308 – Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) related: A young man from the tribe of Aslam said, “O Messenger of Allah, I want to join the campaign, but I have nothing with which to equip myself.” He replied, “Go to so-and-so, for he had made his preparations but fell ill.” The youth went to him and said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ conveys his greetings of peace to you and says, ‘Give me the equipment you had prepared.’” The man said, “O so-and-so (addressing his wife), give him the equipment I had readied and do not hold back anything from it. By Allah, do not withhold any of it and it will be blessed for you.” Recorded by Muslim.

1309 – Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dispatched an expedition to Banū Lihyān and said, “Let one man from every two set out, and the reward will be shared between them.” Recorded by Muslim.

In another narration in Muslim he said, “Let one man go out from every two men.” Then he said to the one who remained behind, “Whoever of you takes good care of the family and property of the one who departs will have a reward equal to half that of the one who goes out.”

1310 – Al-Barāʾ (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man whose face was hidden by an iron helmet came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, “O Messenger of Allah, shall I fight first or embrace Islam?” He replied, “Embrace Islam first, then fight.” The man accepted Islam, then entered the battle and was killed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “He did little yet earned a great reward.” Agreed upon, and this is al-Bukhārī’s wording.

1311 – Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “No one who enters Paradise would wish to return to the world, even if he were to possess everything upon the earth—except the martyr; he would wish to return …”
