The Prophet ﷺ would devote himself entirely to worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan, spending the whole night in obedience to Allah. Such devotion is a form of generosity with one’s very self, yet it is generosity offered to Allah alone. In truth, it is Allah who bestows favor upon whom He wills among His servants: if He grants you the ability to perform a deed, then the favor is His. He first shows favor by enabling you to act, and then again by accepting that act. May Allah grant us and you success in all that He loves.
