He would have guided them to Muhammad from the very beginning. Instead, He chose to manifest the rank of this noble Prophet—may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him—and to bring to pass His word: “It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station” (Qur’an 17:79).
