1157 – Abu Burdah ibn Abi Musa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked, “Did you hear your father relate anything from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Friday hour?” He replied, “Yes. I heard him say, ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: It is the period from when the imam sits down until the prayer is completed.’ ” Reported by Muslim.
