Thus, the first narration affirms entrance into Paradise, while the second rules out entrance into Hell. Taken together, they parallel Allah’s words: “So whoever is spared from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has surely triumphed.” We ask Allah, Exalted is He, to make us and you among those who guard the prayers and the middle prayer, to forbid the Fire to touch us, and to admit us into Paradise. He is indeed able to do all things.
1049 – Jundub ibn Sufyān (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever performs the dawn prayer is under Allah’s protection. So, O child of Adam, beware lest Allah call you to account for violating His protection in any way.” Reported by Muslim.
1050 – Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Angels take turns among you—angels of the night and angels of the day—and they gather at the dawn prayer and the afternoon prayer. Then those who stayed with you overnight ascend, and Allah—though He knows best—asks them, ‘How did you leave My servants?’ They reply, ‘We left them praying, and we came to them while they were praying.’” Agreed upon.
1051 – Jarīr ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Bajalī (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “We were with the Prophet ﷺ …” (the narration continues).
