Chapter: The Merit of Those Whose Young Children Die

952 – Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No Muslim who loses three children before they reach the age of responsibility will fail to be admitted by Allah into Paradise, through His mercy to them.” Agreed upon.

93 – Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When a Muslim loses three of his children, the Fire will not touch him—save for the fulfillment of the oath.” Agreed upon.

The phrase “the fulfillment of the oath” refers to Allah’s words: “There is not one of you but will pass over it” (Qur’an 19:71). This passage (al-wurūd) is the crossing of the bridge (al-ṣirāṭ) stretched over the surface of Hell—may Allah protect us from it.

954 – Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, “Messenger of Allah, the men have taken all your time; set aside for us a day of your own so that we may come to you and learn from what Allah has taught you.” He said, “Gather on such-and-such a day…”
