The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, “Place your hand on the spot that hurts, say ‘Bismillah’ (in the name of Allah) three times, then say seven times: ‘Aʿūdhu bi ʿizzatillāh wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uḥādhir’ (I seek refuge in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and of what I fear).” Recorded by Muslim.
