and your Lord? Call upon Allah yourself; no one stands between you and Him. Why would you go and show need to someone else, saying, “Pray to Allah for me,” when there is no intermediary between you and your Lord? Allah the Exalted says: “Your Lord has said, ‘Call upon Me and I will answer you’” (40:60), and He says: “When My servants ask you about Me, I am indeed near; I answer the supplication of the supplicant when he calls upon Me” (2:186).
