Sharḥ Riyāḍ al-ṢāliḥīnIbn al-'Uthaymin

In sum, when Allah favors a Muslim with any act of worship—whether a personal devotion like prayer or one whose benefit reaches others, such as the pursuit of knowledge—he should neither slacken nor delay, but persevere in it. This steadfastness is part of the Prophet’s ﷺ guidance and his counsel: “Servant of Allah, do not be like so-and-so; he used to rise for the night prayer and then abandoned it.” Allah alone grants success.
