79 – Chapter on the Just Ruler
Allah the Exalted says: “Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives, and He forbids indecency, wrongdoing, and transgression. He admonishes you so that you may take heed.” (Al-Naḥl: 90)
And He, the Exalted, says: “Be equitable, for Allah loves those who are equitable.” (Al-Ḥujurāt: 9)
1/659 – Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Seven types of people will be shaded by Allah in His shade on the Day when there is no shade but His: a just leader; a youth who grows up worshipping Allah; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love one another for Allah’s sake—meeting for that reason and parting for that reason; a man whom a woman of rank and beauty invites to herself, yet he says, ‘I fear Allah’; a man who gives charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand spends; and a man who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes overflow with tears.” Agreed upon.
2/660 – ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Those who act justly will be, with Allah, upon pulpits of light: those who are fair in their rulings, toward their families, and with whatever they have been entrusted.” Narrated by Muslim.
