Allah the Exalted says: “And lower your wing to those of the believers who follow you” (al-Shuʿarāʾ 26:215).
He also says: “Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to near relatives, and He forbids indecency, wrongdoing, and transgression. He admonishes you so that you may take heed” (an-Naḥl 16:90).
1/653 – Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Every one of you is a shepherd and every one of you will be questioned about his flock. The ruler is a shepherd and will be questioned about his flock; a man is a shepherd over the members of his household and will be questioned about his flock; a woman is a shepherd in her husband’s house and will be questioned about her flock; and a servant is a shepherd over his master’s wealth and will be questioned about his flock. Indeed, every one of you is a shepherd and every one of you will be questioned about his flock.” Agreed upon.
2/654 – Abū Yaʿlā Maʿqil ibn Yasār (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “Any servant whom Allah places in charge of others, and he dies on the day he dies while betraying those in his care, Allah will forbid Paradise to him.” Agreed upon.
