The one who truly maintains the bonds of kinship is not the person who simply reciprocates when others reach out to him; rather, the genuine maintainer is the one who keeps those bonds even when his relatives sever them. Such a person alone deserves the title of real upholder of kinship. Therefore, one should be patient and seek reward from Allah when suffering harm at the hands of relatives, neighbors, friends, or anyone else, for he will always have Allah as a supporter against them. In the end he is the winner and they are the losers. May Allah grant us and you success in all that brings goodness and uprightness in this world and the Hereafter.
