obedience. Allah knows best.
16/411 — ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “People will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection barefoot, naked, and ghurlan (uncircumcised).” I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, men and women all together, looking at one another?!” He replied, “O ʿĀʾishah, the matter is far too serious for that to concern them.” In another wording: “The matter is more pressing than for them to look at one another.” Agreed upon.
Ghurlan —with a ḍamma on the ghayn—means “uncircumcised.”
[Explanation]
The compiler—may Allah the Exalted have mercy on him—in the Chapter on Fear cites the narration of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) in which the Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever is afraid sets out early, and whoever sets out early reaches the destination.” Adlaja means to travel in the dulja, that is, at the beginning of the night. “Whoever sets out early reaches the destination,” for when someone travels at the first part of the night it shows that he is serious and determined; whoever does so will arrive.
“Truly, the commodity of Allah is precious; truly, the commodity of Allah is Paradise.”
A commodity is what a person offers for sale, and Paradise is what Allah, exalted is He, has offered His servants to purchase. Allah the Most High says: “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth in exchange for Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, kill and are killed — a true promise binding upon Him in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur’an. And whoever…” (9:111).
