4/351 – Abu Yaḥyā—some say Abu Muḥammad—Sahl ibn Abī Ḥathmah al-Anṣārī (may Allah be pleased with him) related: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sahl and Muḥayyisa ibn Masʿūd went out to Khaybar, which at that time was under a peace pact. They separated, and Muḥayyisa later came upon ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sahl lying in a pool of his own blood, murdered. He buried him, then returned to Madinah.
