29 — Chapter: Fulfilling the Needs of the Muslims
Allah the Exalted says: “And do good so that you may prosper.” (Q 22:77)
1/244 — Ibn ʿUmar—may Allah be pleased with them both—reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he neither wrongs him nor hands him over. Whoever is busy with his brother’s need, Allah will be busy with his need; whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him of a distress among the distresses of the Day of Resurrection; and whoever conceals a Muslim’s faults, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.” Agreed upon.
2/245 — Abū Hurayrah—may Allah be pleased with him—narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“Whoever alleviates a believer’s hardship from the hardships of this world, Allah will alleviate for him a hardship from the hardships of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever eases the difficulty of an insolvent person, Allah will make matters easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever conceals a Muslim’s faults, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. Allah continues to aid the servant so long as the servant is aiding his brother. Whoever treads a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy envelops them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them among those with Him. And whoever is slowed by his deeds will not be accelerated by his lineage.” Related by Muslim.
