the All-Knowing. He will exact justice among the animals themselves, among human beings themselves, among the jinn themselves, and between jinn and humans. For people sometimes wrong the jinn, and the jinn sometimes wrong people—and the latter’s aggression against mankind is plentiful. One form of human aggression toward the jinn is when a person cleans himself with a bone after relieving himself, for the Prophet ﷺ forbade us to use bones for purification, saying, “They are sustenance for your brothers from among the jinn.” The jinn come across those bones; so if someone uses them to cleanse himself, he has infringed upon their share and soiled it, and it is feared that they may harm him in return for the harm he has caused them.
