except a Muslim.” This wording is authentically transmitted from him, peace and blessings be upon him.
To our deep regret, today you find people almost racing to bring Jews, Christians, and idol-worshippers into our land as laborers, and some even claim that they are better than Muslims. We seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed.
This is how Satan toys with the minds of certain people until they give preference to the unbeliever over the believer, even though Allah says: “A believing servant is better than a polytheist, even though he may please you. Those invite to the Fire, whereas Allah invites to Paradise and forgiveness by His leave, and He makes His signs clear to the people so that they may take heed” (al-Baqarah 2:221).
Therefore, take utmost caution against importing Jews, Christians, and idolaters—Buddhists and others—into this Peninsula, for it is the land of Islam: from it Islam began and to it it shall return. How can we allow such impurity to live among us, our children, our families, and our society? This can lead only to destruction, without fail.
Whoever reflects on our situation today and compares it with our condition yesterday will see a vast difference. Were it not for the virtuous young generation to whom Allah has granted steadfastness—may Allah keep them firm—you would witness great evil. Yet we hope that Allah will have mercy on us through His pardon, and then through these righteous youth who are experiencing a wholesome revival—may Allah preserve it for them.
