889 — Ubayd Allah ibn Muhammad informed us; he said: Uthman ibn Ahmad informed us; he said: Hanbal narrated to us; he said: I said to Abu Abd Allah—that is, Ahmad—regarding the beatific vision: “These are authentic hadiths; we believe in them and affirm them. And everything narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, through sound chains of transmission, we believe in and affirm.”
