881—Abd al-Rahman reported: My father narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Isa al-Damighani narrated to us: Abu Bakr Salih al-Marwazi, a scholar of the Quran, told me:
“The Jahmites sent a man to Ibn al-Mubarak, who asked, ‘Abu Abd al-Rahman, how will God ⦗560⦘ be seen in the Hereafter?’ He replied, ‘With the eye.’”
٨٨١ - ذَكَرَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ: ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الدَّامِغَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ صَالِحٌ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ قُرْآنٍ قَالَ: " دَسَّ الْجَهْمِيَّةُ إِلَى ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ خدا ⦗٥٦٠⦘ رابان جهان جون ببيند , قَالَ: يَجْشُمُ , يَعْنِي كَيْفَ نَرَى رَبَّنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ قَالَ: بِالْعَيْنِ "
