880 — Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim mentioned him and said: Abu Harun Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Khazzaz informed us; Yahya ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, saying: “We were with Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid when the hadith of Ibn Sabit concerning, ‘For those who do good is the finest reward and more besides’ [Yunus 10:26], was mentioned to him. He said, ‘The additional reward is looking upon the Face of Allah.’ A man who was present objected to this, so he shouted at him and expelled him from his gathering.”
