796 — Abd al-Rahman mentioned it. He said: Abu Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tihrani narrated to me. He said: Hafs ibn Umar al-Adani—who was trustworthy—reported to us. He said: Al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to us, from Ikrimah, regarding His saying:

“Those who do good will have the finest reward and more besides.” [Yunus 10:26]

He said: “His saying, ‘those who do good’: it means affirming that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah; ‘the finest reward’ is Paradise; and ‘more besides’ is beholding His Noble Face.”
