790—Al-Hasan ibn Uthman informed us: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan narrated to us; al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Shabib narrated to us; Uthman ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Muawiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Ali ibn Salih, from Abu Bishr al-Halabi, from al-Hasan, concerning the verse, “For those who do good is the finest reward—and more besides” [Yunus: 26]. He said: “The finest reward is entry into Paradise, and the additional reward is looking upon the Face of Allah.”

791—Awf al-A'rabi likewise narrated this from al-Hasan. It was cited by Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim.
