- Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman informed us; he said: Isma‘il ibn al-‘Abbas al-Warraq related to us; he said: al-Hasan ibn ‘Arafah related to us; he said: Salm ibn Salim al-Balkhi related to us, from Nuh ibn Abi Maryam, from Thabit, from Anas, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about this verse: “For those who do good is the finest reward—and more besides.” [Yunus 10:26] He said: “For those who do good is the finest reward”—that is, righteous deeds in this world; “the finest reward” is Paradise, and “more besides” is looking upon the Face of Allah, exalted is He.”
٧٧٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْوَرَّاقُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ، عَنْ نُوحِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ ﴿لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ﴾ [يونس: ٢٦] قَالَ: " ﴿لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى﴾ [يونس: ٢٦] " , قَالَ: الْعَمَلُ فِي الدُّنْيَا الْحُسْنَى وَهِيَ الْجَنَّةُ , وَالزِّيَادَةُ النَّظَرُ إِلَى وَجْهِ اللَّهِ ﷿ "
