773 — Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Umar informed us; Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us; Abu Zur'ah al-Razi narrated to us; Abdullah ibn Abd al-Jabbar al-Khaba'iri narrated to us; al-Hakam ibn al-Walid al-Wuhazi narrated to us. I heard al-Fudayl ibn Fadalah al-Hawazi saying:
“Indeed, Allah descends to the lowest heaven on the night of the middle of Sha'ban, bestows abundant gifts, frees slaves, and makes punishment severe.”
٧٧٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْخَبَايِرِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْوُحَاظِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْفُضَيْلَ بْنَ فَضَالَةَ الْهَوَزِيَّ، يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْبِطُ إِلَى سَمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا لَيْلَةَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ فَيُعْطِي رِغَابًا وَيَفُكُّ رِقَابًا وَيُفَخِّمُ عِقَابًا
