- Ubayd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad informed me; Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Nuʿaym al-Khayyat narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Yunus narrated to us; Muʾammal ibn Ismaʿil narrated to us; ʿUmarah ibn Zadhan narrated to us, who said: Ayyub said to me, “O ʿUmarah, if a man adheres to the sunnah and the jamaʿah (the Muslim community united upon the truth), then do not ask about the condition he may otherwise be in.”
٣٣ - أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ , ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ الْخَيَّاطُ , ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ , ثنا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ , ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ , قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَيُّوبُ: «يَا عُمَارَةُ » إِذَا كَانَ الرَّجُلُ صَاحِبَ سُنَّةٍ وَجَمَاعَةٍ فَلَا تَسْأَلْ عَنْ أَيِّ حَالٍ كَانَ فِيهِ "
