763—Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Umar informed us; he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim narrated to us; Abu Zur‘ah informed us; Safwan ibn Salih al-Dimashqi narrated to us; Marwan ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to us; al-Zubayr ibn Sulayman informed me. He said: I heard al-Dahhak ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Azrab say, “My father ⦗496⦘ narrated to me, from Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‘Indeed, Allah descends on the night of the middle of Sha‘ban and forgives all of His creation, every one of them, except a polytheist or one harbouring enmity.’”
