A survey of what has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, concerning the descent of the Lord, exalted is He: twenty individuals narrated it from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. ⦗482⦘ It was also narrated from among the Companions by Ibn Mas'ud, Ibn Abbas, and Umm Salamah; and from among the Successors by Ata', Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, Makhul, and Ka'b al-Ahbar.
