- Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Abbas informed us; Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us; Muhammad ibn Ziyad ibn Farwah al-Baladi narrated to us; Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Hammad ibn Zayd, who said: Ayyub said:
“When I am informed of the death of a man from among the people of the sunnah, it is as though I have lost one of my limbs.”
٢٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ , أنبا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ , ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ فَرْوَةَ الْبَلَدِيُّ , ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ , عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , قَالَ: قَالَ أَيُّوبُ: «إِنِّي أُخْبَرُ بِمَوْتِ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ السُّنَّةِ وَكَأَنِّي أَفْقِدُ بَعْضَ أَعْضَائِي»
