735 — Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us; Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us; Ahmad ibn Zuhayr narrated to us; Abd al-Wahhab ibn Najdah al-Hawti narrated to us; Baqiyyah narrated to us; al-Awza'i said:
“Al-Zuhri and Makhul would say: ‘Let the hadiths pass as they have come.’”
٧٣٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ: " كَانَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَمَكْحُولٌ يَقُولَانِ: أَمِرُّوا الْأَحَادِيثَ كَمَا جَاءَتْ "
