726 — Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Muhammad al-Daqiqi informed us; Muhammad ibn Mansur ibn Abi al-Jahm al-Marwazi narrated to us; Nasr ibn Ali narrated to us; Khalid ibn al-Harith informed us; Sa‘id ibn Abi Arubah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Nahik, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever seeks your protection by Allah, grant him protection; and whoever asks you by the Face of Allah, give to him.”
Abu Nahik was Uthman ibn Nahik al-Farra’ al-Azdi, from Basra, a man of upright guidance and mastery of the Quranic recitations.
٧٢٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّقِيقِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ: رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنِ اسْتَعَاذَكُمْ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعِيذُوهُ , وَمَنْ سَأَلَكَمْ بِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ فَأَعْطُوهُ» أَبُو نَهِيكٍ اسْمُهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ نَهِيكٍ الْفَرَّاءُ الْأَزْدِيُّ بَصْرِيٌّ صَاحِبُ هُدَى الْقِرَاءَاتِ
