724 — Ali ibn Umar ibn Ibrahim informed us; he said: Abd al-Samad ibn Ali narrated to us; he said: al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id al-Sulami narrated to us; he said: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Aban al-Basri al-Muradi narrated to me; he said: al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated to us, from Ali ibn Dhi’ab, from Aban ibn Tha‘lab, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, that Ibn Abbas said regarding the saying of Allah Most High, “On the Day when the shin will be uncovered” [Surah al-Qalam 68:42]: “It refers to a tremendous affliction.”
٧٢٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ الْمُرَادِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دِيَابٍ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى ﴿يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ﴾ [القلم: ٤٢] ، قَالَ: عَنْ بَلَاءٍ عَظِيمٍ
