- Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us; Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us; Ahmad ibn Zuhayr narrated to us; al-Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi narrated to us; Wuhayb ibn Khalid narrated to us, from al-Ja'd Abu Uthman, who said: “Al-Hasan said: ‘Ayyub is the master of the young men of the people of Basra.’”
٢٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , أنبا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ , أنبا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ , ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ , ثنا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ , عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ , قَالَ: " قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: " أَيُّوبُ سَيِّدُ شُبَّانِ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ
