632 — Ahmad informed us: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us; Ahmad ibn Zuhayr narrated to us; Ibn Abi Karimah narrated to us; I heard Yazid ibn Harun say:
“The Quran is the speech of Allah. May Allah curse Jahm and whoever subscribes to his doctrine. He was a disbelieving denier. He abandoned the prayer for forty days, claiming that he was seeking out a religion and that he doubted Islam.”
Yazid said: “Salm ibn Ahwaz killed him in Isfahan because of this statement.”
٦٣٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ هَارُونَ، يَقُولُ: «الْقُرْآنُ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ , لَعَنَ اللَّهُ جَهْمًا وَمَنْ يَقُولُ بِقَوْلِهِ , كَانَ كَافِرًا جَاحِدًا , تَرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا , زَعَمَ يَرْتَادُ دِينًا وَأَنَّهُ شَكَّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ» قَالَ يَزِيدُ: قَتَلَهُ سَلْمُ بْنُ أَحْوَزَ بِأَصْبَهَانَ عَلَى هَذَا الْقَوْلِ
