615 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Farisi informed us: Ahmad ibn Sa'id informed us: Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Dhuhli narrated to us: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us: the nephew of al-Zuhri narrated to us, from his uncle, who said: Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf narrated to me that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
“Whoever sees me in a dream will see me—or it is as though he has seen me while awake. Whoever sees me has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot assume my likeness.”
Abu Salamah said: Abu Qatadah said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever sees me ⦗401⦘ has indeed seen the truth.”
Muslim transmitted it through this chain, and al-Bukhari transmitted it from the hadith of al-Zuhri.
٦١٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْفَارِسِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ , أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَسَيَرَانِي أَوْ فَكَأَنَّمَا رَآنِي فِي الْيَقَظَةِ , وَمَنْ رَآنِي فَقَدْ رَآنِي , فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَمَثَّلُ بِي» . قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ: قَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ رَآنِي ⦗٤٠١⦘ فَقَدْ رَأَى الْحَقَّ» . أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ هَذَا الطَّرِيقِ وَالْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ
