- Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us; Ahmad ibn Abi Khaythamah narrated to us; Abdullah ibn Ja‘far narrated to us; Abu al-Malih narrated to us, who said: Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz wrote commanding that the sunnah be revived and innovation abolished.
