Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us. Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us. Ahmad ibn Zuhayr informed us. Abu Zakariyya Yahya ibn Yusuf al-Zimmi informed us, saying: I heard Sufyan ibn Uyaynah when a man in his presence said to him, “Some people claim that the Quran is created.” He was alarmed and said, “Enough!” two or three times. “The Quran came from Allah and returns to Allah. It is the Quran, just as Allah has named it.”
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ: ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ يُوسُفَ الزِّمِّيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ , وَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَهُ: إِنَّ قَوْمًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ مَخْلُوقٌ , فَفَزِعَ وَقَالَ: مَهْ , مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا , إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ جَاءَ , وَإِلَى اللَّهِ يَعُودُ , وَهُوَ قُرْآنٌ كَمَا سَمَّاهُ اللَّهُ
