558—Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us. He said: Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us. He said: Dawud ibn Rushayd narrated to us. He said: Abu Hafs al-Abbar narrated to me, from Mansur, from Hilal ibn Yasaf, from Farwah ibn Nawfal, who said: Khabbab ibn al-Aratt took me by the hand and said, “O young man, draw near to Allah as much as you are able, for nothing by which you draw near to Allah is more beloved to Him than His speech.”
٥٥٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْأَبَّارُ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ , عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ قَالَ: أَخَذَ خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ بِيَدِي , فَقَالَ: يَا هَنَاهُ تَقَرَّبْ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ , فَإِنَّكَ لَسْتَ تَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِشَيْءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ كَلَامِهِ
