553—Ubayd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad and Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullah informed us. They said: Muhammad ibn Amr ibn al-Bakhtari narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Shakir narrated to us: Abu Usamah narrated to us: al-A‘mash narrated to us, from Khaythamah, from Adi ibn Hatim, who said: The Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace be upon him, said:
“Every one of you will surely be spoken to by Allah—meaning, there will be no veil and no interpreter between him and Allah. He will look to his right and see nothing but what he has sent ahead; he will look to his left and see nothing but what he has sent ahead; and he will look before him and see nothing but the Fire. So protect yourselves from the Fire, even with half a date.” ⦗373⦘
Al-Bukhari transmitted it from Yusuf ibn Musa, from Abu Usamah.
