- Abd al-Wahid ibn Abd al-Aziz informed us: Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Sharqi informed us; Umar ibn Ayyub ibn Isma‘il narrated to us; Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Marwazi narrated to us; Abu Ishaq Isma‘il al-Aqra‘ narrated to us. He said: I heard al-Hasan ibn Abi Ja‘far relate from Abu al-Sahba’, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said:
“To look upon a man from the people of the sunnah who calls to the sunnah and forbids ⦗61⦘ religious innovation is an act of worship.”
١١ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ , أنبا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّرْقِيُّ , ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ , ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ , ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ الْأَقْرَعُ , قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , قَالَ: " النَّظَرُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ السُّنَّةِ يَدْعُو إِلَى السُّنَّةِ وَيَنْهَى ⦗٦١⦘ عَنِ الْبِدْعَةِ , عِبَادَةٌ
