Allah, Exalted is He, says:

“And Allah spoke to Moses directly.” [Quran 4:164]

It was said in the explanation of this verse, on the authority of Ibn Abbas: “Face to face”; and it was also said: “On repeated occasions.”

And He, Exalted is He, says:

“Indeed, I have chosen you above all people by My messages and by My speech.” [Quran 7
