518 - The Shaykh Abu Hamid Ahmad ibn Abi Tahir al-Faqih also informed us: Umar ibn Ahmad ibn Ali al-Wa'iz related to us: Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad ibn Abi Sa'id al-Muqri' related to us: Ubayd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Karji, in Tarsus, related to us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Umar Rustah related to us ⦗356⦘: “I heard Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi, and I asked him about praying behind the adherents of deviant doctrines. He said, ‘Yes: prayer is not to be offered behind these two groups—the Jahmites and the Rafidites—for the Jahmites are disbelievers according to the Book of Allah.’”
٥١٨ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ قَالَ: ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَاعِظُ قَالَ: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَرْجِيُّ بِطَرَسُوسَ قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رُسْتَهْ قَالَ ⦗٣٥٦⦘: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ , وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ خَلْفَ أَصْحَابِ الْأَهْوَاءِ , قَالَ: نَعَمْ , لَا يُصَلَّى خَلْفَ هَؤُلَاءِ الصِّنْفَيْنِ الْجَهْمِيَّةِ وَالرَّوَافِضِ؛ فَإِنَّ الْجَهْمِيَّةَ كُفَّارٌ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ
