511 — Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah ibn al-Hajjaj informed us: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan related to us: Abd Allah ibn Ahmad related to us: Abu Abd al-Rahman Abd Allah ibn ⦗352⦘ Ahmad ibn Shabbuyah told me: “I heard Muhammad ibn Bashshar, known as Bundar, say: ‘Those who call others to this doctrine are not to be asked to repent.’ He also said, ‘If so-and-so were in my presence, I would not ask him to repent.’”
