494 — Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-‘Abqasi informed us by verbal authorization ⦗346⦘. He said: Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Abd Allah related to us; he said: Ali ibn Zayd al-Fara’idi related to us; he said: Yahya ibn Khalaf al-Muqri related to us: I was with Malik ibn Anas when a man said to him, “O Abu Abd Allah, what do you say about a man who declares that the Quran is created?” Malik ibn Anas replied, “Kill him; he is an unbeliever.” The man said, “O Abu Abd Allah, I did not say it; rather, I only told you that someone had said it.” Malik ibn Anas replied, “I only heard it from you.”
٤٩٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْقَسِيُّ , إِجَازَةً مُشَافَهَةً ⦗٣٤٦⦘ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْفَرَائِضِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ قَالَ: الْقُرْآنُ مَخْلُوقٌ؟ فَقَالَ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ: اقْتُلُوهُ , كَافِرٌ. فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَمْ أَقُلْهُ إِنَّمَا قُلْتُ لَكَ: قَالَ إِنْسَانٌ. قَالَ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ: إِنَّمَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْكَ
