- Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Ju‘fi also informed us; Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Harun al-Himyari informed us; Abu Kurayb narrated to us; Abu Mu‘awiyah narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from Muslim, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Hilal, from Jarir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, delivered a sermon to us and said: “Whoever establishes a good practice shall have its reward and the equivalent of the reward of those who act upon it, without that diminishing anything from their rewards. And whoever establishes an evil practice shall bear its sin and the sin of those who act upon it, without that diminishing anything from their burdens.” Muslim recorded it.

٥ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجُعْفِيُّ , أنبا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ , ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ , ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ , عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ , عَنْ جَرِيرٍ , قَالَ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: «مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا وَمِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِمْ شَيْءٌ , وَمَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً كَانَ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهَا وَوِزْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْءٌ» أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ
