464—Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad al-Asadi informed us: Ali ibn ⦗295⦘ Mahdi al-Tabari informed us by authorization, saying: Muhammad ibn Harun ibn Hafs narrated to us, saying: I heard Abd al-Salam ibn Shanqar al-Misri say: “A letter came from al-Mahallah to al-Muzani, asking about a man who said, ‘By the Lord of Ya-Sin, I will not do such-and-such,’ but then did it and thus broke his oath.” Al-Muzani said: “There is nothing due from him; whoever says that he has broken his oath is saying that the Quran is created.”
