460 — Muhammad informed us: Ahmad narrated to us: Abdullah narrated to us: I heard Muhammad ibn Sulayman Luwayn say, “The Quran is the speech of Allah, uncreated. I have not seen anyone say, ‘The Quran is created.’ I seek refuge in Allah.”
461 — Abdullah said: I also heard Abu Ma‘mar—that is, Isma‘il ibn Ibrahim al-Hudhali—say, “The Quran is the speech of Allah, uncreated. Whoever doubts that it is uncreated is a Jahmi—rather, he is worse than a Jahmi.”
462 — I heard Abu Ma‘mar say, “I encountered the people saying: ‘The Quran is the speech of Allah; it is not created.’”
٤٦٠ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنًا يَقُولُ: " الْقُرْآنُ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ , وَمَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا يَقُولُ: الْقُرْآنُ مَخْلُوقٌ , أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ "
٤٦١ - قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَعْمَرٍ , يَعْنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْهُذَلِيَّ يَقُولُ: الْقُرْآنُ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ , وَمَنْ شَكَّ فِي أَنَّهُ غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ فَهُوَ جَهْمِيٌّ , لَا بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْ جَهْمِيٍّ،
٤٦٢ - وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَعْمَرٍ يَقُولُ: أَدْرَكْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ: الْقُرْآنُ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ بِمَخْلُوقٍ
