454 — Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah ibn al-Hajjaj informed us: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan informed us: Abd Allah ibn Ahmad narrated to us: Abbas ibn Abd al-Azim narrated to us: I heard Abu al-Walid Ismail ibn Azrah say, while Ali ibn al-Madini was seated, “Indeed, the Quran is the speech of Allah, and the speech of Allah, exalted is He, is not created.” ⦗293⦘ Ali said to him, “It is only from you that we learn how to say it.”
٤٥٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْوَلِيدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ عَزْرَةَ , وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ قَاعِدٌ , يَقُولُ: إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ , وَكَلَامُ اللَّهِ ﷿ لَيْسَ بِمَخْلُوقٍ ⦗٢٩٣⦘. فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ: إِنَّمَا نَتَعَلَّمُهُ مِنْكَ كَيْفَ نَقُولُ
